Plot

Sir Madam Sarpanch is a social drama set in rural India, exploring the journey of a young woman, Anjali (Jyoti Dubey), who challenges traditional gender roles and the patriarchal system in her village. Anjali, an educated and determined woman, returns to her village after completing her studies in the city. She dreams of bringing change and development to her conservative village, which is still steeped in age-old customs and practices. The story takes a pivotal turn when Anjali decides to run for the position of Sarpanch (village head), a role historically dominated by men. Her decision is met with resistance from the village elders, including her own family members, who believe that leadership is not a woman’s role. Despite the opposition, Anjali stands firm, determined to prove her capability and bring about progress. Seema Biswas plays a key role as an elder in the village, adding depth and gravitas to the narrative.
