Plot

Jersey follows the story of Arjun Talwar (Shahid Kapoor), a once-promising cricketer who left the sport under mysterious circumstances. Now in his thirties, Arjun lives a modest life with his wife, Vidya (Mrunal Thakur), and their young son, Kittu. Financially strained and working a mundane job, Arjun struggles with the sense of lost potential and dreams that haunt him. When Kittu asks for a cricket jersey as a birthday gift, Arjun realizes he doesn’t have the means to fulfill even this small wish. Haunted by his past and wanting to earn his son's admiration, Arjun decides to return to cricket despite his age and the challenges that lie ahead. Facing skepticism from family and society, he begins training rigorously, striving to reclaim his spot on the national team. His former coach (Pankaj Kapoor), who once mentored him, comes back into his life, supporting his journey. As Arjun pushes himself to the limit, the film delves into his internal battles, exploring themes of redemption, resilience, and the love between a father and son. Jersey is a heartfelt story about second chances and the courage it takes to pursue forgotten dreams, highlighting Arjun’s journey to prove to himself—and his son—that it's never too late to follow one’s passion.
