Plot

Jawan is a high-octane action thriller centered around Azad (Shah Rukh Khan), a jailer of a women’s prison who leads a double life as a vigilante. Driven by a personal vendetta and a desire to expose systemic corruption, Azad recruits a group of skilled inmates from the prison and orchestrates a series of daring heists and crimes. These audacious missions, which target high-profile figures in politics, business, and law enforcement, aim to reveal the deep-rooted corruption and exploitation within the system. Narmada (Nayanthara), a determined and sharp police officer, is tasked with tracking down the vigilante group, unaware that Azad, whom she admires for his seemingly upstanding role as a jailer, is the mastermind behind the crimes. As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that Azad’s motivations are deeply personal—rooted in the injustice his family faced, which was orchestrated by Kalee (Vijay Sethupathi), a ruthless arms dealer and the film’s primary antagonist.
