Plot

Ghoomer is an inspiring sports drama that tells the story of Anina (Saiyami Kher), a talented young cricketer whose dreams of representing India are shattered when she suffers a devastating accident, losing her right arm. Once an aspiring batting prodigy, her life spirals into despair, and her hopes of playing professional cricket seem all but lost. Enter Padam Singh Sodhi (Abhishek Bachchan), a former cricketer with a gruff demeanor but a deep understanding of the game. Despite his personal struggles, he sees potential in Anina and decides to coach her, challenging her to defy the odds and reinvent herself as a bowler, specifically a spinner — hence the film’s title, Ghoomer. Padam's unorthodox and tough training methods help Anina rebuild her confidence, pushing her beyond her physical limitations and transforming her game. As Anina learns to spin the ball with her left hand, the film delves into themes of resilience, perseverance, and the power of mentorship.
