Plot

Farrey is a 2023 Hindi-language heist thriller directed by Soumendra Padhi, starring Alizeh Agnihotri in her debut role. The film is an official remake of the 2017 Thai film Bad Genius, centering around an academic cheating scandal with high stakes. The story follows Alizeh's character, a brilliant but financially struggling student, who navigates the competitive world of elite education. She is initially motivated by a desire to excel and secure scholarships, but when she realizes the opportunities available to wealthier students, she becomes entangled in a high-risk cheating scheme. Using her intelligence, she devises an elaborate system to help fellow students cheat on exams in exchange for money. As the operation grows, she recruits other students, including Sahil Mehta and Zeyn Shaw’s characters, who help her pull off increasingly complex heists. Ronit Roy plays a strict school authority figure who grows suspicious of their activities. The tension escalates as the stakes rise—what begins as a clever ploy to level the playing field spirals into a dangerous game with serious consequences.
