Plot

Aazam is a gritty crime drama set in the underworld of Mumbai, revolving around power struggles and betrayal. The film follows the story of Javed (Jimmy Sheirgill), a key figure in the city's mafia, who finds himself caught in a complex web of deceit and shifting loyalties. The plot centers on the control of the crime syndicate led by mafia don Nawab Khan (Raza Murad), who is terminally ill. As Nawab's health declines, various factions within the organization vie for power. Dhanraj (Abhimanyu Singh), one of Nawab's most trusted lieutenants, is eyeing the throne, while other influential players, including Kadar (Indraneil Sengupta), plot to seize control of the syndicate’s operations. Javed, who has his own ambitions, navigates through the dangerous terrain of underworld politics, balancing old loyalties with new alliances. As the power vacuum intensifies, betrayal and violence take center stage. Javed must decide who to trust while staying ahead of rivals who are willing to go to any lengths for control. The story builds towards a tense climax as secrets unravel, allegiances shift, and the true cost of power in the underworld is revealed.
