12th Fail is a 2023 Hindi-language biographical drama directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, based on the inspiring true story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, a man who overcame significant adversity to achieve his dream of becoming an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. The film stars Vikrant Massey as Manoj Kumar Sharma, a student who, despite failing his 12th-grade exams, refuses to let setbacks define his life. Manoj hails from a poor family in a small village, where education and opportunities are limited. Faced with extreme poverty and societal pressures, his early academic failure seems to seal his fate.
