Vidya Malvade was born on March 2, 1973, in Maharashtra, India. She is a well-known Indian actress and former air hostess. Malvade is the niece of the late veteran actress Smita Patil and has two sisters. After completing her education in law, she transitioned from being an air hostess to modeling, appearing in various advertisements. Her acting career began with Vikram Bhatt's film "Inteha" in 2003, but it was her role as the goalie and captain of the Indian women's national hockey team in the critically acclaimed film "Chak De! India" (2007) that brought her significant recognition. Despite facing challenges in her early career with several unsuccessful films, she has continued to work in the industry, with her recent project being "Yaara Silly Silly." 

In her personal life, Vidya Malvade was first married to Capt. Arvind Singh Bagga, a pilot who tragically died in a plane crash in 2000. She later married Sanjay Dayma in 2009, who has worked with notable filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. Malvade's journey from air hostess to a celebrated actress showcases her resilience and dedication to her craft. Her contributions to Indian cinema continue to inspire many aspiring artists.
