Riteish Deshmukh, born on December 17, 1978, in Latur, Maharashtra, is an Indian actor, producer, and entrepreneur. He is the son of the late politician Vilasrao Deshmukh, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Riteish holds a degree in architecture from Kamla Raheja College of Architecture in Mumbai and also studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
Riteish made his acting debut in 2003 with the film "Tujhe Meri Kasam," alongside Genelia D'Souza, who later became his wife. The couple married in 2012 and have two sons. Known for his versatility, Riteish has successfully transitioned between comedy, drama, and villainous roles. He gained widespread popularity for his comedic roles in the "Masti" and "Housefull" series.
In addition to acting, Riteish co-founded Mumbai Film Company, a production house, and produced the Marathi film "Balak-Palak" (2013), which was critically acclaimed. He also ventured into business with his own architectural and interior design firm, Evolutions. Riteish's commitment to his craft and his diverse talents have made him a prominent figure in Indian cinema.
