Mallidi Vassishta, born Mallidi Venkata Narayana Reddy, is an Indian film director, writer, and actor primarily known for his work in Telugu cinema. He is the son of renowned film producer Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy. Vassishta completed his early education in Chennai before moving to Hyderabad, where he finished his secondary education at Nalanda Educational Institutions and graduated from St. Mary's College.

His career in the film industry began as an assistant director, contributing to several notable films such as "Naa Autograph," "Bhageeratha," and "Bodyguard." In 2022, he made his directorial debut with the fantasy action drama "Bimbisara," featuring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. The film received positive reviews and earned him the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Director - Telugu in 2023. Vassishta is currently working on his second film, "Vishwambhara," which stars Chiranjeevi and is produced by UV Creations.
